Dear Jon,
Ten years ago today I promised to honor and cherish you
above all others. I'm not sure then that I understood fully what those words
meant. I knew I loved you and wanted to be with you forever and that you were
my best friend. I saw our future stretching out before us, a fuzzy road, bright
and shiny. It's funny how one thinks their heart can't hold anymore love, but here
we are- a decade later and life has brought its peaks and valleys,
heartbreaking loss and incredible joy and still we skip hand in hand down that
road. I know now more fully what I meant
on that sunny day so long ago. I know that it is an honor to be your wife, your
helpmate, your friend. I truly cherish you above anything in this world. You
are my treasure.
